In Italy, I Castoni means "the setting for the stone", and each pen has a genuine stone set into the clip. Each clip is produced from a special bronze alloy that gives it incredible strength. Silver or gold is then bonded to the clip using a special molecular process that is so good it is guaranteed for life. Finally, a genuine cabochon is set into the clip.

The unique shape of the resin barrel is achieved by turning and hand polishing solid bars of material, one by one, the process that maximizes the strength and beauty of the finished product.
