DELTA ALFA ROMEO GRAND SPORT 
LIMITED EDITION CAPLESS ROLLERBALL PEN

The splendid Alfa Factory Red is recreated in the pen's hand-turned Italian acrylic resin. The central ring replicates the Grand Sport's intricate grill, and the capuchon pays homage to the design of spoked wheels.  The trim ring featured below the crown of each pen is created in the likeness of the original tire tread. The Platinum Plated clip pays tribute to the Grand Sport's distinctive red headlamp lenses with a perfectly placed Ruby right at the apex!  One of the most exceptional classic industrial designs in history has now been ergonomically translated into a limited Edition Collection, as only Delta can.

A brilliant designer named Vittorio Jano joined Alfa Romeo in the early 1920's. His work was a monument to industrial design and catapulted Alfa Romeo to several world championships. One of the most memorable automobiles of the early 20th Century was the Alfa Romeo 6 cyclinder 1750cc Grand Sport, a car that remains one of the best-loved and most coveted automobiles of all time. The best design elements that distinguished the 6C Grand Sport are all translated into this Delta Limited Edition Collection.

DUNHILL SIDECAR 
RED PEARLIZED RESIN WITH PALLADIUM FINISH COLLECTION

Inspired by both the streamlined silhouette of the iconic 1930s Steib sidecar and the 'torpedo' shape of a pen from the Dunhill archive, the modern, distinguished and effortlessly chic Sidecar writing instrument collection marries elegant styling with the highest standards of craftsmanship.  Part of the design inspiration for the Sidecar collection comes from an archive piece dating back to 1952.  It was in fact an ebonite pencil with a propelling movement, cutting edge for its day.  Dunhill has kept this inspirational and original design, and adapted it to a new modern collection, Sidecar.

JAGUAR CONCEPT COLLECTION

Jaguar is the perception of pleasure, of sinuous and elegant lines.  Jaguar and the Aquila Group join forces for a common objective: to demonstrate that design motivates technological innovation. Concept is a collection of writing instruments unique like the cars from which they were derived from for Jaguar and the Aquila Group writing also means leaving a mark in time.  Concept sculptures an aluminum into the aerodynamics of a Jaguar, weightless like an idea, perfectly balanced like a Jaguar.

MICHEL PERCHIN MP5 LIMITED EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN

The MP 5 Fountain pen was inspired by Faberge’s Blue Serpent Clock Egg.  This piece was presented to Empress Maria Fedorovna in 1887, by her husband Tsar Alexander III.

During a visit to Russia, Consuelo Vanderbilt, the Duchess of Marlborough saw the Imperial Blue Serpent Clock Egg.  Shortly thereafter, Faberge was commissioned to re-create the design, and it was completed in 1902 in Pink and Gold.  This piece was the only egg to be made for an American.  The barrel and all metal parts of this marvelous piece of art are sculpted from .925 sterling silver, plated in 22k yellow gold, red enamel with jet-black acrylic.   Limited in production of 188.

SAILOR KING OF PENS RED URUSHI LIMITED EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN

The 'King of Pens' is introduced as the top of the range, developed as the symbol of Sailor’s technology, quality and writing perfection gained with experience over 95 years.  Special attention has been given to the oversized 21K solid gold nib (the life and soul of the fountain pen), which gives top writing quality.  The large sized pen is handcrafted from Ebonite, a special naturally produced resin material requiring special production processes.  Ebonite material is very warm to the touch and it’s rich elasticity and unique texture provides quality and character to the product.  The pen had been specially developed without using the usual Gold rings on the cap and barrel to provide a simple understated style.  The 'King of Pens' is available in Black and the red/black 'Marbled' ebonite version and also in very special 'Urushi' lacquered models in Red and Black color.  The 'King of Pens' is available with Medium or Broad nib units and can also be fitted with the legendary 'Nagahara' nibs – 'Naginata Togi', 'Cross Point' or 'King Eagle'

Urushi lacquer is a very special natural material made from the sap special trees, which only grow in East Asian countries.  This Urushi is in very limited supply.  The deciduous Urushi tree takes 15 years to reach maturity and each mature tree can only supply 200 grams of sap.  The Urushi sap (which is poisonous) is then mixed with other compounds to form the lacquer. When hand applied to the surface of the pen and kept in high humidity it slowly sets (hardens) into a hard durable and lustrous finish, which is waterproof and resistant to most other materials.  This special lacquered surface protects the pen in the best possible manner.  The Urushi is applied in up to 12 separate coatings, all of which have to fully harden and dry before the next application.  The total process can take up to two months to prepare.  The plain Urushi lacquers have been traditionally used to decorate materials in Japan since the Jomon period.
